This work presents an experimental research of the physical properties of the orthorhombic Eu1-xYxMnO3 system at low temperatures, mainly focused on its ferroelectric properties, magnetoelectric coupling, and on the lattice mediated spin-phonon coupling, arising from the competition of magnetic interactions in this system. A thorough analysis towards the correlation between both structural and Raman modes parameters has been undertaken.
