English for Specific Purposes (ESP) has become an essential branch of ELT in most universities. Needs analysis (NA) is believed to be the core of ESP course design to provide a course that meets students needs and motivate them to learn English language. Nevertheless, NA is neglected when teaching ESP at the University of Khartoum (U of K), Sudan. This book is the outcome of a research to identify tertiary students needs and to design an ESP course that meets those needs. Students' present situation, difficulties in learning English language, and preferences are taken into consideration. Students, graduates, and professors at the Faculty of Public and Environmental Health, U of K are involved in the NA. Finally, the book proposes a course catering for students needs hoping that it will be adopted in teaching ESP to PEH students. Finally, the book suggests some recommendations concerning ELT at U of K.
