This book is the outcome of Ph.D research work done at Assam University, Silchar and it deals with the comparative study on the scientific ideas reflected in the Qur'an with that of Modern Science. As the Quran claims itself to be a Book of Knowledge, it may be presumed that the Quran, though a religious book contains scientific ideas related to Modern Science. Indeed, the holy Quran contains hints or indications about the fundamental modern concepts of science in various fields. In fact, it helps science to be used by the man to understand the realities of the universe and acquire sound knowledge of boundless creation of Allah. It may be inferred that the scientific ideas in the Qur'an in general do not contradict with modern scientific knowledge barring a few exceptions. So, the knowledge revealed in it, cannot be regarded as outdated. Rather, Al-Qur'an may be accepted as book of reference by the scientific community in many fields of their study and research in days to come. The knowledge revealed in the Qur'an can easily coexist with scientific knowledge and pave the way for promotion of science and technology in days to come. The Qur'an may be taken as a book of synthesis of faith and reasoning. The knowledge of the Qur'an and Modern Science is found to be in juxtaposition. The author in his book has made an attempt to show that scientific ideas reflected in this Holy Book are generally compatible with Modern Science.
