The study examined the electronics market in the informal economy of Nigeria. Computer village located in Ikeja, Lagos state was used as a study. The main objective of the study was to determine the role of electronics market in the informal economy of Nigeria. The study examined the economy opportunities available to would-be business owners/operators, business owners/operators owners and small-scale business entrepreneurs. Also, the constraints militating against these men and women mostly young ones were a major focus of the study. The participant observer method was used as a major research tool. In-depth interview/personal interview and administered questionnaire were also employed as a research methodology. Four hypotheses were formulated and tested. The findings of the study revealed that electronics market play a major role especially among the youth in the informal economy. The constraints faced by these young men and women include lack of appropriate preparation for thebusiness world including skill acquisition ,lack of managerial awareness and the challenges prevalent in the informal economy. This includes unregulated and unorganised business activities, moonlighting.
