Variants of cancer cells that escape the immune defense of the host elicit the support of immunosuppressive mediators, hence enhancing their development and progression. This study was performed to elucidate the involvement of immune suppressive cells - regulatory B cells, and immune suppressive erythroid cells in tumor-induced suppression in vivo and in vitro. By employing the use of several assays (cell viability assay, arginase activity assay and others) and FACS analysis cells were analyzed and characterized. Despite the significant increase in the aforementioned immune suppressive cells and an observed shift in myelopoiesis and erythropoiesis in the spleen and bone marrow, distinguished markers are still needed for enhanced detection of the expression of Bregs, in other to provide more understanding.
