A little girl has a difficult time with school. She faces fears and anxieties that most children experience when going to school. From being academically behind, being bullied and having a lack of confidence in herself her father encourages her each day with a loving approach. Although this is her earthy father, there is a sense that his wisdom and love is a mirror image of God our father in heaven. The reason why we are capable of loving is because God loved us first (1 John 4:19). Whenever the father speaks there is a scripture reference to show that parallel.

Autorenporträt
I am a wife, proud mother and grandmother. My full name is Adriane Inez Colon. I was given the middle name Inez from my father. Inez was his grandmothers name who was a christian woman. I've always felt honored and set apart having been the only one out of my siblings to have a middle name. So, to honor my father and my Great Grandmother I chose me as the little girl who would represent the fight to push through. Growing up I hated school. Compared to my siblings and their eagerness to go to school and get by with ease, I struggled. The need for Love and encouragement from our father didn't always come by so easily. Although I made amends with my father when he passed, and he became all I needed as an adult, I wished he could have been all I needed when I was a child. I can't stress enough how important it is for a little girl or any child for that matter to be loved unconditionally and encouraged to push through our fears by our fathers. I believe that we live in a time where we need more fathers to be avid supporters of our children. Although this story is about a daughter and her father's love for her, I hope the story conveys that men and women alike would do well by adopting the way God loves us so we may reflect that same love to our own children here on earth. A little encouragement makes a difference. In 2019 I enrolled in Dutchess Community College at the age of 45 before my father's passing and finished my associates degree. A day he would never get to see.
