Ah-Keisha McCans is an award-winning writer and applied theatre practitioner from Harlem, NYC. Ah-Keisha has held many roles including playwright, poet, songwriter, filmmaker, scholar, theatre educator, library media specialist, ELA teacher, college professor, advisor and her most prized: mother of four brilliant Black children: Elijah, Nabi, Bee and Grant. Ah-Keisha is host of the podcast "Education as Liberation" and is the founder of Whole Body Literacy & Education, Inc. (WHBLE).
