Major topics are to identify and evaluation of the halophytic vegetation, soil resources, ground water, domesticated and wild animal and the socioeconomic resources of the local people inhabiting in the saline habitats of this area. The main objective of this book is help the stockholders and local people to select plant species tolerant to salt stress by selecting to characterise halophytes (but also salt-tolerant glycophytes), to evaluate the possible use of non conventional water such as sea water and tolerant glycophytes of a potential importance in the field of human or animal nutrition, also identified the suitable habitat and soil to cultivate these plants.
