Autorenporträt
About the Author: Andrew J. Holman, MD, is a Seattle rheumatologist who, like any other father, loves his children very much. First in his anthology of short stories and poems is "Who's Mostly Scared?", based on the wonderful lessons that Jonathan, Kate and Maddi taught him about overcoming some of life's challenges. About the Illustrator: Natalia Starikova is a figurative oil painter who works in all genres and is a published children's book illustrator. She was born and raised in Russia, where her college and Masters education at the Savitskiy College of Fine Art and at the Kharkov Academy was rooted deeply in the Russian tradition of classical painting techniques. She has also been influenced by Impressionism and by the playful, modern styles and rich expressive colours of artists like Marc Chagall, Franz Marc, and Paul Gaugin. In 2013 she immigrated to Canada from the Emirates, drawn to the different natural and urban landscapes here and to the positive diversity of people and cultures in Toronto. Natalia loves her work; she always carries a sketchpad and she practices drawing or oil painting every day.
