Losses in the organic matter content of soils during the last 100 years have been substantial, which is associated with changing land use patterns. The process of cultivation of native soils is nearly always associated with loss of organic carbon, as previously protected organic matter is oxidized following exposure to the atmosphere. These losses are of great concern because; most of the essential soil functions take place around it. There is a wide perception that the amount of organic carbon (SOC) in soils needs to be kept above a minimum level in order to prevent irreversible decline in the range of soil properties. Therefore, it is essential to know the critical levels of SOC in relation to soil properties. The decline in the threshold value of SOC below which most soil are prone to structural destabilization and crop yields are reduced. Therefore, this book, provide new metric of success for soil organic carbon management under various fertilizers management in cabbage crop. All three soil properties are analyzed and should help shed some light on this new and exciting research work, and should be especially useful to professionals, researchers and scholars in Soil Science.
