The text has been compiled to deals with the effects of heavy metals exclusively on consumers, aquatic animals and the environment. Dr. Akhter Ali Siddiqui has been serving as associate professor in Poona college camp, pune, India. He received his M.Sc, degree in 1979 and Ph.D 1983, from the department of zoology, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He has more than 28 years of teaching and research experience. He has published more than 30 research papers in diverse areas.
