Most algorithms around for residue error control focused on single residue digit error correction because of the considerations of large memory requirement and computational inefficiency for multiple errors correction methods. Most algorithms around for residue error control focused on single residue digit error correction because of the considerations of large memory requirement and computational inefficiency for multiple errors correction methods. It is against this problem that this research seeks to explore residue arithmetics in a bid to find an algorithm that will be suitable for an arbitrary number of residue digits errors control -detection and correction- and in an efficient manner too. The algorithm developed here could be used for an arbitrary number of residue digit error corrections. This is evident from consideration of number of residue digit error correction capability; method of integer recovery; memory requirement in the decoding process and the number of iterations required in the entire decoding process. This book is intended to meet the problem of error control in the areas of signal and /or image processing and computing. It will be mostly needed by researchers, design engineers, communication engineers, engineering & science/computer students, and all those interested in signal and image processing fields. It will help to solve various technical computing problems.
