There are many models to choose from regarding how to do church: traditional, contemporary, seeker-targeted, missional, attractional, house-church, purpose-driven, and the list goes on and on. What model does the Bible promote? It's God's Church; maybe His plan for His church should be explored. In Acts 2, we see how the first-century New Testament church operated. They knew how to do church God's way by implementing four powerfully simple ideas. Doing church God's way, the church exploded! Over 3,000 people were a part of that first church on the first day, and it grew from there. Can we do church that way today? This book explores the Biblical, Acts 2 way to do church, employing four powerfullly simple ideas called "The Four Pistons." Leading and being a part of an effective church MUST be possible. We're told the church can move rhythmically and easily - efficient and graceful, inspiring us to strive for this ideal. (Ephesians. 4:15) Don't you want to be a part of a church like that? Doesn't everyone. Let's go. Let's rev up the engine of God's Church. We might even find purpose for our lives as well.
