Autorenporträt
Alexa D Caldwell, a history teacher and lacrosse coach at Phillips Exeter Academy, was inspired by her twin brother's love for birding to pen I like birds, too, a delightful read-aloud book for children. Alexa knew making this book that she wanted looking at the birds to be as captivating as reading their names aloud. The stunning visuals were created by her close friend Moni Hill, an artist who lives in North Carolina. Moni shares Alexa's deep love for nature, and her charming illustrations brought the story to life. Paralleling Teddy and Noah's love for nature, Alexa and Moni's friendship shines through their work.
