This disease can incapacitate the patients in the most productive ages because it produces disfiguration and difficult to movement of the involved region (if a limb is affected) or, it can produce internal organ damage with serious complications when thorax and vertebrae are invaded; moreover, it treatment is very long, representing many serious familiar and social economic impacts; so, it's necessary to know about this disease, and to recognize its clinical signs, because a good first-contact attention will allow to avoid complications and permanent disabilities.

Dr. Torres is Dermatologist/Mycologist at ¿Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez¿ Hospital in Mexico City. He is author of book chapters and articles about mycology. Dr. Niebla is Dermatologist/dermatologic surgeon at "Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social". She is undergraduate Professor for dermatology. Both are members of several national/international groups.
