Participants of the study included 151 seniors who studied English Translation at Mashhad Universities and Institutes of higher education. Questionnaires were administered to both male and female students. To do so, the researchers first designed and then validated the Translation Strategies Questionnaire in order to measure the participants use of translation strategies. The results of the statistical analyses revealed that students Locus of Control has a significant and positive relationship with their use of translation strategies and their achievement.
