Ali Kadkhodaie is an Associate Professor of Petroleum Geology at the Earth Sciences Department, University of Tabriz. He received his Ph.D. degree (2005-2009) from the University of Tehran. From 2015 to 2017 Ali joined the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Curtin University of Australia as a Research Associate. His research has mainly focused on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in the fusion of reservoir rock properties and seismic reservoir characterization. To date, Ali has published more than 100 scientific papers in international journals. He has supervised more than 200 masters and Ph.D. students in the upstream sector of the petroleum industry. He now serves as the Associate Editor of Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering.
