Alina Burova-Cole is a former childcare provider. Clement Cole is a small business owner. For both authors grandmas (for Alina grandpa too) were an enormous influence, inspiration and a constant part of their childhood. The idea of the little pin came about from the love of embroidery and memories of grandma's sewing and knitting.Alina and Clement live in New York city with their baby boy and two kitties. It's their first children's book.
