Alix Shepard has a passion for creating quality, children's literature that is engaging to both children and parents alike. She started writing shortly after her first child was born, seeking to create picture books she enjoyed reading. Alix focuses on topics that introduce young readers to the magic and beauty of the surrounding world, helping to establish a lifelong passion for reading, curiosity, and exploration. Alix obtained a dual Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She completed her MBA at Clemson University. Alix served 10 years in the United States Army, deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013. She has travelled extensively throughout her life, both domestically and abroad. She loves hiking, gardening, baking and spending time with her family.
