Numerical simulation of fluid flow has been a major of research for the past few decades. The continuous growth of computer power has motivated the scientific community to use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for numerical solution of the governing equations of fluid dynamics. Over the years, the finite difference method (FDM) and finite volume method (FVM) are frequently being used in CFD. The finite element method (FEM) has not gained popularity in fluid mechanics as it has in structural mechanics. Recently, Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has emerged as a new effective and alternative approach of CFD and it has achieved considerable success in simulating fluid flows and heat transfer problems. The present report can be considered an attempt in that direction.
