Photonic Crystal Fibers are the special model of optical fiber which comprise of a micro-structured arrangement that surrounds low refractive index material with higher refractive index material. Here two different types of photonic crystal fibers were designed (hexagonal and circular PCF) using Comsol Multiphysics software. Firstly, we designed hexagonal and circular PCF using Comsol Multiphysics, extracted data from it and then obtained different types of propagation characteristics for these two types of structures using Matlab. This book examines power confinement and propagation characteristics like effective mode index, effective mode area, chromatic dispersion, confinement loss and nonlinearity of these two types of photonic crystal fibers. Characteristics analysis is done by varying the geometrical parameter of these two types of structures and also by varying the operating wavelength. By analysis, we found the maximum number of Zero Dispersion Wavelength at 9500 nm of wavelength.
