The objective of these studies on synthesis and characterization besides spectroscopic, thermal behaviour of binary and mixed ligand nanosized metal supramolecular coordination polymers of some 5-(3-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiol (POZT), 1,3-di-(4-pyridyl)propane (DPP), 1,2-bis(2-pyridyl)ethene (BPE) with imidazole (IMZ), benzimidazole (BIMZ) and 1-methyl-imidazole (MIMZ) which are of considerable interest due to their pharmaceutical, chemical and biological importance. The x-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscope SEM and transmission electron microscope TEM of both derivatives of 2,3,4- pyridyl and imidazole metal compounds is also studies. A study of the thermal behaviour of these complexes is important to elucidate the kinetic and mechanistic aspects of their thermolysis as well as their stabilities. It also aims to apply of the prepared coordination polymer in the preparation of Cu-ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts via solid state ion exchange method and testing the activity of the prepared Cu-ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts towards nitrous oxide and hydrogen peroxide decomposition reactions.
