Produktbeschreibung
This book has evolved from the energetic desire of the author in using the modern concepts of functionally graded materials (FGMs) for the design of FGM spherical structures. In this connection, the author took up his Master studies whose findings have resulted in this book. The initial focus here is on the basic theory, background of FGMs, Application, material properties and manufacturing process of functionally graded materials. Effort has been also made to focus the discussion on the various research studies carried out for free vibration analysis of FGM spherical structures. In the latter sections, free vibration analysis of FGM spherical structures i.e. spherical cap, spherical cap with cut out, spherical shell and spherical panel is provided. The effects of various parameters on the natural frequencies are given in detail. The finite element software COMSOL Multiphysics (version 5.4) is used for computation. The overall focus is on the free vibration analysis of FGM spherical structures using finite element software COMSOL Multiphysics (version 5.4).
