A young girl with depression. An immigrant. A Palestinian boy. An addict. A disillusioned daughter. Voices crying out together in sorrow, joy, fear-and yet they are unheard and alone. Inspired by playwriting, The Daughter of Sisyphus is a collection of poems that talk past each other. Each "voice" takes the stage to tell their story, their poems woven throughout the book, taking turns but never talking to each other.
