It is increasingly felt that Indian agriculture is currently suffering from technology fatigue , due to which the earlier gains made during the Green Revolution has withered away. Moreover, Green Revolution itself has been criticized for being Euro-centric, environmentally unsustainable and beinga political (it never addressed the issues of land and tenancy reforms, and other related institutional reforms).

Dr. Ateeque Ahmad is a professor, Department of Geography, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He obtained all his degrees from Aligarh Muslim University in 1st Division, and completed his Ph.D in Rural Geography. He has got published thirty five research papers in various journal of National and International repute and two books.
