The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of the use of performance assessment driven instruction in mathematics by Senior High School form one students. The study also sought to find out the attitude and achievement of the students towards mathematics at the Senior High School level.The study was therefore to provide insight into the effects of the use of performance assessment tasks and performance assessment driven instruction in mathematics in the Ghanaian context and examine the differences between male and female students in mathematics learning among Senior High school students in Ghana using performance-based assessment tasks.
