This book provides is an attempt to investigate the effectiveness of computer assisted instruction in the acquisition of mathematical concepts in relation to achievement motivation and study habits. In fact the study was designed to explore whether computer assisted instruction will prove to be a better instructional strategy as compared to traditional teaching method. The book provides broad based introduction of the different variables under study and theoretical frame work of the problem. It provides the review of related literature, objectives and hypotheses to be tested. A deliberation is given to the design of the study, sample, tools used, description of tools, procedure of data collection and statistical techniques used. After analysis and Interpretation of the data the findings, implications of the research findings are given in details and suggestions for further research.

Avninder Preet Singh, PhD is Assistant Professor at Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana (Punjab). He has been teaching Graduate and Post Graduate courses for Fifteen years. He is actively involved in research and has been guiding a number of PhD scholars. He has written two text books meant for undergraduate courses in education
