This book describes the challenges that culturally and linguistically diverse exceptional students face with reading in both their native language and in their second language, English. Awilda Ramos Zagarrigo has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. She is currently an assistant professor and co-director of the Bilingual Special Education Program in the Exceptional Education Department at Buffalo State College. Awilda Ramos Zagarrigo holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University at Buffalo.
