Are genders equal in Bosnian and Herzegovinian (BiH) labour market? Statistical analysis is performed in order to answer this question. Various data on BiH labour market were gathered, and examined by using a Mann Whitney test. Since this nonparametric test does not depend on normality of data, it was a best fitting test, where two independent populations were used, male and female population. Difference between two medians enabled to prove weather genders are equal according to certain criteria or not? Results of analysis shown that in BiH more men are employed than women, and women appear to be more economically inactive. There are more unemployed women than men, even with highest level of education attained, proving the gender inequality. Following labour market improvement needs to be done: promotion of transparent and equal hiring practices in both public and private sector, to prohibit gender discrimination in the workplace, to organize education programs against gender stereotypes in employment, to stimulate financial institutions, to give loans to women entrepreneurs, and number of others.
