B. C. Dykstra is a multifaceted individual whose life journey has taken him from the Cape of Good Hope to the Arctic Circle of the Land of the Midnight Sun, traversing four of the seven continents along the way. With a diverse background in communications and business, he pursued studies in six different countries, enriching his understanding of global perspectives and cultures.

In 1981, Dykstra had a serendipitous encounter with a fellow young writer on a train, where he shared the idea of using a lightning bolt scar on a character's forehead. This idea became an iconic symbol in literature, movies, theme parks and more, recognized worldwide.

Beyond his literary contributions, Dykstra is also a seasoned musician, having played drums professionally. His talent as a lead drummer led him to perform on stage with a musician in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, showcasing his musical prowess and passion.

In the realm of finance, Dykstra made significant contributions, notably creating the nation's first mortgage loan pre-approval program in 1987.
