"You've got a match!" Lula Lockhart is feeling her age at twenty-nine, having to navigate the pitfalls and perils of millennial dating after she discovers her recently deceased best friend Madisson had downloaded Tinder to Lula's phone without her permission. On a quest to honor her late friend's memory, Lula accepts a date with Tinder match Sawyer after he divulges his recipe for first date success comprised of memories of his alcoholic father, who died six years prior. The date becomes unhinged when Lula counteracts Sawyer's endeavors by hijacking the night's plans. Imagine Sawyer's surprise when he finds himself standing in line to enter a pulsating electronic dance music festival thrown inside a city waterpark wearing nothing but slacks and his best button-up. Awkward! Wrought with irony, Lula and Sawyer are both in search of something tethered to their past during their first date. Lula must navigate unresolved romantic feelings towards Madisson as Sawyer traverses feelings of unresolved anger towards his deceased father. Dramatic irony accompanies the couple's situational irony in the form of the character Nick-a heartbroken, middle-aged, widow, who has driven the lovebirds to the event. After losing a precious photograph of his wife over the waterpark's fence, Nick must combat his psychedelic feelings as he scours the vast festival while under the influence of a wild concoction of hallucinogens. Paying homage to O. Henry's classic Christmas tale The Gift of the Magi; it is through serendipitous moments that Lula, Sawyer, and Nick are faced with an inevitable lesson that is not bound to age-learning to let go.
