An investigation on "Effect of customized fertilizers on the productivity of finger millet" was conducted at ZARS, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru, during kharif 2011. An investigation on "Effect of customized fertilizers on the productivity of finger millet" was conducted at ZARS, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru, during kharif 2011. The experiment was laid out in RCBD with 7 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments consisted of absolute control (T1), 50% customized fertilizer dose(187.5 kg/ha)(T2), 75% customized fertilizer dose(281.25 kg/ ha)(T3), 100% customized fertilizer dose (375.00 kg/ ha), 125% customized fertilizer dose (468.75 kg/ha)(T5), 150% customized fertilizer dose (562.50 kg/ha)(T6) and Recommended dose of fertilizer (T7). Customized fertilizer grade was 20-17-11-3-0.4% of N-P2O5-K2O-S-Zn.T6 recorded significantly higher grain and straw yield than T1, T2, T3 and was on par with T5 and T4. T2 recorded on par grain and straw yield with T7.T5 gave higher net returns than other treatments.
