The purpose of the research study is to identify, describe, and better understand the dominant logic of entrepreneurial strategic leadership. First, the study identifies various types of change that an entrepreneurial leader encounters throughout his or her entrepreneurial experience. Second, the study isolates and identifies specific occurrences of entrepreneurial strategic leadership that the entrepreneurial leader uses to effectively deal with these change types. Third, the analysis classifies the entrepreneurial strategic leadership into the two dimensions of exploitive and explorative strategic processual elements. Fourth, the research isolates the two dimensions of exploitive and explorative strategic processual elements within the context of the firm's task environment level, managerial level, and institutional level. The hypothesis is that a balanced implementation of exploitive and explorative strategic processual elements establishes synergy within a small firm's organizational structure which results in structural and strategic alignment. In summary, structural and strategic alignment provides a positive and dynamic organizational framework for dealing with change.
