Often the magnitude of such stresses may exceed the fatigue or corrosion fatigue strength limit. This, in turn, can lead to failure of drill pipe elements due to resource exhaustion and the occurrence of accidents, the elimination of which requires significant material and time investments. One solution to this problem is suspending the operation of drill pipes to the onset of a critical state. Consequently, the prediction of their final resource is only an urgent problem.
