For Bayport Heritage, the large volume of photographs in the Bayport Heritage Association's pictorial archive made the asscoiation's selection of the most appealing images a lengthy process. There is an abundance of photographs showing the wonderful interiors of early summer homes and their gardens, as well as delightfully clear views of old businesses and their proprietors, early schoolhouses, the Methodist church (the only church in Bayport), and the centerpiece of many small towns, the volunteer fire department. Interspersed are portraits of some of the old-timers who may still be remembered by longtime residents, and who names (such as Snedecor, Gillette, and Seaman) still grace the tree-lined streets of Bayport. Bayport Heritage is sure to be treasured by generations of residents and visitors for years to come.
