This book is the the result of an experiment which was conducted in the department of English at Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela, Algeria. The experiment that lasted three months explored the effects of the exposure to authentic materials on learners' achievement in writing. The participants in this experiment were first year students .At the end of the experiment, the researcher found that using authentic materials had positive effects on raising learners' motivation, helping them in diminishing grammatical mistakes , enriching their vocabulary, and decreasing other mistakes related to capitalization, punctuation and spelling.
