In South Tyrol, teachers are at work with a very wide range of qualifications for the teaching job. This book aims to show how soft skills for use in the (English) classroom are acquired in general and, specifically, in South Tyrol, depending on which teacher training track was taken. At the same time it indicates the importance of pedagogy and didactic courses as part of teacher training. The book presented here consists of five chapters, discussing various topics such as skills future teachers need, teacher training in South Tyrol and qualitative research including the analysis of two case studies.
