GUIDING MOTHER HOME is the sequel to the author's first book, OLD PARENTS AND PURPLE TULIPS. It was crucial to complete this family's emotional journey in their struggle with Alzheimer's through the declining years of the one remaining parent. Book Two tells the story of the eviction of the author's brother from the family home with his gun collection of over 250 weapons, dismantling the house that Daddy built, foster care for Mother, and a long, slow good-bye culminating in Mother's death, which was a quiet, peaceful journey into her heavenly home.
