Betty Rounds, LCSW, is a New Mexico Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has practiced for 20 years over a 45-year period. She holds 2 master's degrees both from Michigan State University. She has a Master's in Vocational Rehabilitation of the Physically Handicapped and Mentally Retarded and a Master's in Social Work. She has served clients with substance abuse, domestic violence, anger management issues, problem pregnancies, marriage, family, couples and individuals and has trained and supervised volunteers and graduate level interns. She owned and operated and was primary counselor in her private practice, Rounds Counseling. She has also served her community in a variety of context including working as co-founder of a plan to develop a residential treatment center for drug and alcohol addicted men, a supporter and model and photography contributor for a church fund raiser, Sunday school teacher, designer of a plan for a church playground, a developer and leader of a meditative service series, choir member, a Sweet Adeline, chairman of the building exploration committee, initiator/chairman/secretary/project site procurement for Havasu Area Public Art, secretary for Clean (a drug abuse prevention committee), designer and chair of an alcohol abuse prevention group in Rogers City, Michigan, board member that brought Arizona State University Colleges to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She enjoys photography and loom weaving. She is semi-retired and lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico with her husband.
