Beverly Orndoff is former science writer for The Richmond Times-Dispatch. He joined the Times-Dispatch after graduating from the University of Virginia, where he majored in physics. He covered many major events in science, medicine and technology during his 40-year career, including some of the earliest organ transplants, space exploration from Project Mercury through Apollo and early space shuttle flights. He received numerous awards and honors for his work.
