But, forest cooperatives are novel type of Cooperatives in Ethiopian context, being organized in Oromia National Regional State recently for sustainable utilization of forest and its products. This book is an outcome of a reasearch aimed at understanding forest cooperatives contributions, factors affecting forest development and members perception towards their cooperatives. The authors recommended members' participation in seedling plantation and forest protection, additional income generation for members, member education, and nursery site management on continuous basis for forest development/conservation (keeping together) through cooperatives (working together).

Dr.M.Karthikeyan is a faculty member, Department of Cooperatives, Hawassa University, Ethiopia. He has been in the field of teaching and research for more than 15 years & published 24 books. Mr.Belay Mengesha Fereja, M.A.Cooperative Management,is a staff in Ambo Cooperative Union, Ethiopia. He has a rich experience in the field of cooperatives.
