This study recommends the need to strengthen particular aspect as well as other elements of strategic change in the public secondary schools; Effective application of strategic change in order to achieve measurable improvement in the organizational performance and addressthe negative influence of external factors such as the Board of governors and politics on performance in secondary schools.

Joseph Kimani Waiharo was born in 1970 in Baringo County, Kenya.He graduated with a Bed-Science degree from Egerton University in 1996.He obtained his MBA-Strategic Management degree from Egerton University in 2011.He is currently pursuing his PhD in Business Administration at Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Agriculture.
