New Web applications that do not incorporate Web 2.0 features are hard to sell in today s marketplace. Since companies in the enterprise space increasingly try to shift their traditional desktop applications to the Web, knowledge of Web 2.0 and its technologies is key to success. In this book, the author first gives an overview over various Web 2.0 techno logies and concepts such as Ajax or client-side graphics and charting. These will then be evaluated on their applicability to a real-time enterprise-level database monitoring system.
