All women have the same right concerning their sexual and reproductive health. However, women living with HIV/AIDS require additional care and support to prevent HIV transmission to the newborn. Now a day a strategy to prevent HIV transmission to the new born is implemented throughout the world, which is believed to reduce the incidence of HIV in children. Whereas this strategy has to be supplemented with evidences that can be used in designing sound public health interventions. This paper has examined the behavioral factors that lead HIV positive women to intend to have pregnancy using the well known behavioral model, the Theory of Planned Behavior.
