Autorenporträt
Bernard Zamkoff is an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where he has concentrated on the teaching of flat pattern design since 1964. He served as the Chairman of the Fashion Design Department of FIT from 1978 through 1984, and has been recognized for his contributions to education by his being listed in Who's Who in The East for several years in succession. Zamkoff is a graduate of Pratt Institute, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, majoring in fashion design. He was a designer for several years in both Los Angeles and New York, before entering the teaching profession. He is co-author of the classic textbooks Grading Techniques for Modern Design, Basic Pattern Skills for Fashion Design, and Creative Pattern Skills for Fashion Design.
