Polymer Core-Shell particles, consisting two different polymers each having different property, are widely used as compatibilizer for incompatible blend and impact modifier of plastics. We have shown an environment friendly approach to obtain thermally stable Polystyrene-Poly(methyl methacrylate)/Clay Core-Shell, micron sized nanocomposite particles using exfoliated sodium montmorillonite clay platelets by in-situ seeded suspension polymerization technique. Dibyendu is a PhD student in Polymer Science at the University of Akron. He received B.Sc & M.Sc degree in Chemistry from Calcutta University & Delhi University respectively. Then he moved to IIT Kharagpur for M.Tech. program. After 2 years of R&D experience with Battelle, he joined University of Connecticut in Fall 2012 for MS study in Polymer Science.
