Alcohol abuse represents a growing concern in Kenya, with estimations that approximately greater percent of the population consumes alcohol in a way that is considered risky or highly risky to their health in the long term. Consumption of alcohol is not only common in Kenya; in many ways it is integrated into our culture through wide appeal and acceptance from an early age. Therefore, this study sought to investigate the influence of parental alcohol consumption on children's welfare in Kenya. The study adopted questionnaire as a research instruments. The study population comprised of members of communities household and opinion leaders living in Soy North Ward. The population of the study was 1807 households. A cross-sectional survey was used in four zones which will include: Chepsigot, Ekpe, soy and Kibargoi location. The study adopted snowball sampling technique to select 316 respondents from the target population for the required sample for this study. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study findings would be important for the setting up of alcoholic abuse interventions program.
