A study was conducted on Income and Expenditure behavior of seed producer of Dandagaun, Salyan of Nepal in 2014 AD. A study was conducted on Income and Expenditure behavior of seed producer of Dandagaun, Salyan of Nepal in 2014 AD. The sampling frame consisted of seed producers and non-seed producers of Dandagaun VDC. For the study, 60 households were selected by using simple random sampling technique. Majority of household heads were male headed. The average saving by gender was higher (NRs. 80872) among male headed seed producer households than female headed seed producer (NRs. 85710). Both male and female decisions were vital in seed producing households. Maize seed production was major agriculture activity followed by wheat and rice with 61.5, 26.92 and 11.58 percent.Lack of technical assistance was major problem to commercial seed production followed by lack of irrigation facilities. Timely availability of agricultural inputs can improve the seed production potential. Study found out higher level of living standard and high expenditure bearing capacity in seed producing farmers than that of non- seed producing farmers.
