Parthenium has been rapidly spreading globally and continually affecting our health, livestock, flora and environment. The fast invasion of this weed is attributed to its wide adaptability to extreme soil and climatic conditions, ability to grow throughout the year, shorter life cycle, and easy dispersal by wind, water and movement of vehicle and animals coupled with the absence of natural enemies like insects and diseases. The present book, therefore, provides information about the proliferation of Parthenium and its impact on natural flora and certain economically important plants. Management of Parthenium problems using biological control is also analyzed in this book. The book should help shed some light on management of Parthenium problems, and should be especially useful to professionals in Environmental and Agricultural fields.
