Dr. Biswajit Mukhopadhyay is a licensed professional engineer and certified floodplain manager with expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources engineering and management. He has over three decades of experience in working on solutions to real-world problems iin hydrology all over the world, from Alaska to Auckland, and China to Chile. He is one of the first 100 recipients of the Diplomate, Water Resources Engineer (D.WRE) Board Certification conferred by the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has authored over fifty technical articles in international journals, over 100 engineering reports, and presented key findings and critical observations at local, regional, national, and international conferences and seminars. He taught surface water hydrology, groundwater hydrology, and open channel hydraulics classes at the University of Texas at Arlington and Southern Methodist University. He regularly teaches professional development classes focusing on hydrology and hydraulics at his current place of work. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
